LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2026
IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS- PLEASE READ!
Deadline to Apply - Thursday, April 9th at 3:00 pm!
Please contact Mr. Kerrigan with any questions, thank you for applying!! Once you have all applications completed, please drop them off to Mr. Kerrigan in the guidance office.
1. Carefully review the criteria for the following list of scholarships and select those scholarships to which you will apply.
2. Click on the scholarship name to access the application. Complete the full application for each scholarship which you are applying to. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CLOSELY. Some scholarships follow a separate timeline/process, make sure to take note on the requirements section.
3. DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME anywhere on the application unless directed to do so. Scholarships that require you to put your name will be indicated with (NAME REQUIRED). Instead of names - most scholarships will use your Student Number which can be found on RealTime on the top banner. Your Student Number must be placed on every document of your application. Contact Mr. Kerrigan if you can't find your ID number.
4. Contact your Guidance Counselor or Mr. Kerrigan if you need assistance completing your Academic Résumé.
5. Make sure to include mandatory essays included at the end of each scholarship application. Be sure to make each essay unique to each scholarship and don't use AI!
6. Please bring completed applications to Mr. Kerrigan in guidance. When you bring your applications, you will have to fill out a google form indicating which scholarships you are applying to.

| Anne Youtz Athletic Scholarship |
• Those connected to athletic teams, such as student managers, also are eligible for the scholarship and encouraged to apply. • Candidates should embody the ideals and values of sportsmanship: honesty, integrity, civility, selflessness, kindness, compassion, and class. • The selection of the scholarship recipients is based on the applicants’ commitment to sports and sportsmanship. • Submit a 300-500-word essay. • Submit the High School Athletic Participation form |

● Graduating senior who is enrolled in an institute of higher learning for the fall of 2026. Such institutions may include any 2- or 4-year college/university, technical school, or vocational school.

| Ernest DiCicco Sr. Scholarship |

500-word essay must be written addressing the following question: Why do I deserve this scholarship? How do I meet the desired criteria? What impact have you made? |

| Mount Olive Soccer Club Jennifer L. Cialone Memorial Scholarship |
The Mount Olive Soccer Club awards a total of $2,000 annually in scholarship funds for two students that will be graduating each year. This scholarship, which started in the spring of 2005, is dedicated to the memory of Jennifer L. Cialone a member of the Mount Olive Soccer Club whose commitment to academics, community and the game of soccer is so proudly named. Graduating seniors who have actively participated in the Mount Olive Soccer Club for at least three (3) years or six (6) seasons, and who have met college entrance requirements are eligible. or emailed to: secretary@

| George Tyree Memorial Scholarship |
Student must be a leader in the school and has volunteered their time to the community. Must have at least a 3.0 gpa and participation in clubs/sports. |

Student must be in the top 50% of the senior class and have an engineering/technology focus. |

| Joseph Barish Memorial Scholarship |

| Kiwanis Scholarship |
The Kiwanis Club of Mt. Olive Township has continued its support of our local youth by providing scholarships for almost 20 years to deserving Mt. Olive High School seniors who have chosen to further their education- whether those plans involve four-year college, community college or a trade school. The scholarship awards are weighted heavily on community service, but also include academic excellence and extracurricular activities, particularly volunteering through Key Club. |

| Luke Heeman Citizenship Award | Seniors in the top 40% of their class who have demonstrated good citizenship, dedication, and leadership to the organizations and activities they are involved in, whether it is school/community/religious or helping someone else. Future college major in a business related field & complete application which includes grades, gpa, activities, and essay from a list of topics. |

Senior who is going to college for a career in public service (i.e. criminal justice, military, medical fields, or social service). (NAME REQUIRED) |

| Thomas Shields Memorial Scholarship |
Seniors who have demonstrated involvement with extracurricular activities and community service. Grades and standardized test scores are considered, but all students are encouraged to apply. |

| Turkey Trot Scholarship |
Students are asked to write an essay reflecting on the question: “What role does community, family, and tradition play in your life and how has it shaped your values and goals?” Submissions should be sent to ktiman@lvhs.org with the student’s guidance counselor copied, on or before April 15, 2026 |

| SDK Village Green and SDK Foundation for Human Dignity Scholarship |
Seniors who have demonstrated merit, strong academics, and participation in community events. (NAME REQUIRED). |

| STEP NJ Scholarships |
*Follows separate deadline of May 10th, please see website for more details Skilled Trades Empowerment Program awards scholarships throughout the school year to students who live in New Jersey and are looking to pursue a post-secondary education in the skilled trades. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $2,000 that can be applied towards their future educational training in their chosen trade.
